Unable to open twain source its been working well on my new dell xps8700 running windows 10 for over 6 months. suddenly i get "unable to open twain source please check connection then re-start toolbox" unplugging and plugging the connection the computer gives the little beeps acknowledging the connection.. Hi all haven't used my scanner for a while. when i try to scan it displays a message box titled canoscan toolbox with a big exclamation mark that says "unable to select twain source" in my comp. When i open the canoscan toolbox, and try to scan, it says "unable to select twain source." i have tried the troubleshooter, downloaded the driver and the entire canoscan program (for 64-bit vista) from canon's website, and tried many other fixes. any advice would be appreciated..
When i try to scan i get this message: unable to open twain source please check connection then re-start toolbox the connections are tight driver mismatch - the driver of the scanner has forgotten the location of the twain driver because another software has been using it lately.. Cannot communicate with scanner.cable may be disconnected may be turned off.check status .scanner driver will be closed.could not open the twain source. make sure there is a valid source for your scanner in the twain directory found in the windows directory.. It worked before but when i connect usb on windows 7 and open canoscan toolbox (or press the scan button on the scanner which opens the same software) it keeps telling me that its unable to acquire twain source..
